Most of the things we teach were not invented by us. They are ideas and strategies that we have used ourselves to make money and tweak to our liking whenever needed. We consider it our job to find the best strategies, put them into practice and then share the results and how it can be replicated.
We believe that if more people are empowered to make their own money, then that's a good thing for humanity in general.
We don't claim to have all the answers and we still need to learn a lot, but we're happy to share the strategies we've learned so far. We hope you find them useful.

Humble Beginnings
It was the week before our wedding in December of 2012 and we were sitting on the patio of our Air BNB in Costa Rica when we registered the domain name screwtheninetofive.com.
That year, we had worked our tails off to build a network of affiliate sites that each generated commissions every time we referred a new customer.
When we first started, everyone thought we were crazy, but now those same people were asking us if we could teach them to do the same thing. Funny how that works!
We had to learn it all from scratch and that sometimes meant figuring out how to write CSS, html and PHP code, even though neither of us had any experience as developers.
It wasn't easy but by the time the year had come to an end our websites were generating a full time income for the both of us.
As soon as we hit that magical number, we decided to move somewhere tropical, continuing to grow our business of course...
Thailand, 2013-2014
We chose a small island in the gulf of Thailand, called Koh Tao, after going there for a trip the previous year and loving every minute of it.
There weren't a lot of people working from laptops and so we were often asked why we had decided to bring our computers on vacation with us.
The answer we told them was always, "we weren't on vacation, this was our home". The next question we normally got was, "can you show me how you're making money?".
"Sure" we said, "go check out screwtheninetofive.com".
After succumbing to the boredom of living on a tiny island, we packed up our things and moved to the northern city of Chiang Mai.
There we found a great community of digital nomads like us who we worked alongside of in the cafes and co-working spaces littered throughout the city.
It was a magical time and we continued to grow our businesses including The Screw, which was picking up steam.
After 2 years as digital nomads, we decided it was time we learned to be grown ups and at the end of 2014, we moved back to Canada.
This turned out to be a mistake, but one we needed to make.
The Community
After leaving Thailand, we settled initially in Vancouver. The idea we had was that North America was the center of the universe as far as online business went.
Moving there would mean we got to rub shoulders with other more successful entrepreneurs and this turned out to be true to some extent.
We attended all the biggest conferences and got to meet and make friends with people like John Lee Dumas a successful podcaster and founder of EOFire.com, whom we're now great friends with.
We also got to know Amy Porterfield, Stu Mclaren and many other successful business owners in the online space.
In fact, it was Stu who told us that what we needed do was start a membership site for startup online entrepreneurs.
We pulled the trigger in early 2016 and this marked the start of our journey towards building a community of our own.
What we didn't expect was how close the community would become. Although most of the interaction happened inside of a forum
