How To Build Your Business with Podcasting
feat. John Lee Dumas

Here's a funny and slightly embarrassing fact: Back in October 2013 Josh was ITCHING to start a podcast. I on the other hand was incredibly resistant and hell-bent on sticking to video, and not adding on yet another task.

Thankfully I eventually gave in *cough* 3 months later *cough* because dude….was I ever wrong!

Now our podcasts get more downloads than our videos, and what's even crazier is that on nearly every webinar we've done someone has referenced the podcast. So yeah, I guess you could say we're kinda hooked and cannot speak highly enough of the power of podcasting.

But why should YOU start a podcast? Well instead of me just yammering on, I decided to ask my dear friend – the Podfather – John Lee Dumas  to breakdown exactly why podcasting is such a powerful tool to incorporate into your business.

Jill: I was a little reluctant to start a podcast. Josh had been talking about it for 4 months and I finally agreed to it and now I love it.

A Little Bit About this Episode:

Let's cut to the chase: If you want to build a thriving community of people who love you, your brand, and what you're doing in the world then you need a way of delivering free valuable content to them on a consistent basis.

Of course there are many ways to do this – blogging, vlogging, webinars, Google Hangouts, live meetups, annnnnnnd podcasting!

Now I'll admit, when we first started our podcast, I was mega resistant to it.

I'm not entirely sure why, but at the time I just wasn't jiving with the thought of hosting a podcast…on top of our regular videos.

Well after a few months of Josh pushing the topic, I finally gave in.

And good God damn am I ever glad I did!

Not only has our podcast become one of our biggest community builders, but on nearly every single webinar we've done, someone has referenced our podcast.

And it's only been around since May!

To me? That's a big sign.

But why are podcasts SO good for business?

Well to answer that we asked our dear friend John Lee Dumas of to sit down and talk shop on all things podcasting.

He does not hold back in this episode, so if you've been thinking of dipping your toes into the podcasting waters, this is a must-watch for you.
