And while I like to think I know a thing or two about this industry now, I have so much to learn and so far to go.
Which is why today I chose to forgo all work (it is Sunday after all), be a sponge and soak up as much knowledge as I possibly could from lifestyle business owners and marketers I look up to.
I read action-packed posts from the Suitcase Entrepreneur herself, Natalie Sisson. I listened to episode upon episode of my new favourite podcast I love Marketing created by Joe Polish and Dean Jackson. I combed through Pat Flynn‘s massive repertoire of insightful advice. Oh and I also wasted about 45 minutes straight creeping the instagram feeds of different celebrities.
What? It's Sunday! I'm allowed to goof off a little bit.
But I digress.
While so many people preach about taking time for yourself (which I completely agree with, hence April 19th) today my version of taking time for myself was packing my head with as many a-ha moments as I possibly could.
And you know what? I'm fuckin' pumped to wake up Monday morning and put all my new ideas into action.
Yeah, excited to wake up on a Monday. I never thought I would say that.
Because that's the thing about this lifestyle: while you may be knowledgable on one subject, the internet, and your customers, are constantly evolving.
Meaning it's important, no, downright crucial that you stay on top of your game and keep learning, absorbing and tweaking new strategies, ideas and concepts to make your site the best damn place on the internet to buy [insert product here].
If not, someone else will.
